Broncos Select Garett Bolles as 2025 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Club Winner — A Win for Community and Childhood Apraxia Awareness
Denver Broncos offensive tackle Garett Bolles has been selected as the Broncos’ 2025 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year club winner, one of the NFL’s most prestigious honors recognizing players for excellence both on the field and through community impact.
The Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award celebrates players who exemplify leadership, integrity, and service, honoring the work they do beyond football to uplift others. Each of the NFL’s 32 teams selects one club winner who then becomes a nominee for the national award, which will be announced at NFL Honors in February 2026.
For Garett, this recognition is deeply personal. Inspired by his son Kingston’s diagnosis of Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), Garett has become a passionate advocate for children and families navigating speech and communication challenges. Alongside speech-language pathologist Jennie Bjorem, he co-founded the Bjorem & Bolles Apraxia Education Initiative, opening a first-of-its-kind training center in Parker, Colorado dedicated to improving professional education and access to evidence-based CAS intervention.
Through the GB3 Foundation and Bjorem & Bolles, Garett supports clinician training, family education, and scholarship opportunities, ensuring that more children receive accurate diagnoses and effective therapy. His commitment extends beyond speech education, including mentorship, youth outreach, and community engagement across Colorado.
